Car cult in Wellington – 2012

02 May, 2012

Joseph Romanos, editor, The Wellingtonian

The car cult dies hard here it would seem (letters, 26  April; Hayward and Williams).   They appear to ignore the possibility of change; change in habits, change in lifestyle.  Light rail for Wellington would not only transport more people more quickly through the CBD but could (should, must) also be a catalyst for changes in priorities effecting social organization.  Keeping an open mind as to what is next in transport as these changes occur will be an on-going requirement.

Sincerely,  Richard Keller

  1. Hello there! This blog post could not be written any better! Looking at this post reminds me of my previous roommate! He always kept talking about this. I am going to forward this article to him. Fairly certain he’ll have a very good read. Many thanks for sharing!
