Radio New Zealand support – submission – 2010

06 April, 2010

Hon John Coleman, Minister of Broadcasting, Parliament Buildings, Wellington

Mr Coleman:

Radio New Zealand is one of the main reasons I prefer living in New Zealand.  The intelligence, the non-commercial independence, the variety of RNZ are assets which not all countries enjoy.

Of course I understand that is precisely why this ACT government, fronting as National, wants to change RNZ.  This is one measure in a vague and desperate rush to eliminate opposition to a world dominated by money in a grand and glorious climax of the capitalist era.

I urge you to reject this insanity and take a small measure to return to reality and instead work to enhance the non-commercial independence of RNZ.

Sincerely, Richard Keller
