“Elephant in the room” in regards to the airport runway business case

The ‘airport runway case’ article on the front page of the Dom Post of Wednesday (14/10) mentions four items to be discussed in the business case which the airport will present to the Environment Court this month. But once again the airport leaves out the ‘elephant in the room’, namely that in the carbon constrained world of a sustainable future there will be a good bit less air travel than today.
